I was one of the chaperones on the Yosemite Half Dome hike and I am writing to tell you what a wonderful experience our school had with the three of your guides: Katy, Joel, and Csuri. Their professionalism and warm engaging personalities made them easy to have along with our group of extremely busy 8th graders...I have spoken with the Dean and Principal and have encouraged them to partner with Southern Yosemote Mountain Guides for both our 7th and 8th grade trips to Yosemite moving forward. Again, a huge thank you...
- Jennifer Hawks, Sacred Heart School, Sept 2006
I just want to let you know that the guides (Csuri, Joel, and Katie) who assisted the 8th Graders up Half Dome on September 21st were outstanding! The guides made a lasting impression on the students and faculty. In reality, I owe you all a HUGE thank you because you got the students up and down Half Dome safely and your guides really impressed the students and faculty. The guides put a feather in the cap of my outdoor education program. The knowledge the guides shared and the professionalism they showed was seriously recognized. I sincerely thank you all for a job well done!! Please share this message with the participating guides and I hope we can be one of your clients again next year!
- Russell Willis, Dean, St. Joseph's School, Atherton, Ca Sept 2006
Your guides were wonderfully, professional and prepared, They took my tired, unmotivated group who felt like they would like to do nothing less then climb right then and brought back a group who described it all their favorite part of the trip.
- Trevor Doyle, Camp High Places July and Aug, 2006
We all had a wonderful time. In fact, a leader who's gone on every snow trip for the best 15 yrs said that these were the best guides we've had yet. Well done. Thanks again for an excellent week. Patricia Wundrow

To all the guides at SYMG--We look forward to another successful year working together!
- America's Adventure, December 2000
I am one of the teachers from The Branson School who accompanied some 80 students on their "Sophomore Overnight" under SYMG's care from 8/23/00-8/25/00. My particular group of twelve hikers was led by SYMG's Josh Hall, and I am writing only to sing Josh's praises. I am no authority, but everything I witnessed during my mountain experience told me that Josh is an outstanding trail guide. This man could guide lawyers to heaven. He knew the trail; he knew the equipment; and, most important, he knew how to deal --kindly and effectively -- with high school sophomores and their tenderfoot teacher. I have only one complaint: I actually GAINED WEIGHT during my 3-day experience! Please extend my gratitude to Josh, and ask him to make his cooking a little less tasty.
- Tucker Hyatt, The Branson School, August 2000
On behalf of the entire group from University of San Francisco, thank you all for another wonderful weekend of climbing, camping, food and adventure. Once again, the weather, the climbing, food, and guides were all incredible and the University of San Francisco Outdoor Adventures program are satisfied customers and will be customers in the future.
- Robin Embry, University of San Francisco, July 1996

SYMG provided all of us wit an experience to be remembered, and one that really 'made our day.' What impressed us the most was the way you made the whole venture into a learning situation. Whether you were talking about the flora, the intricacies of mountain climbing, or a personal story, you kept our interest. It takes trust to put your life in the hands of someone you don't even know. I watched and listened as you weaved the knowledge of your craft in a way that made the Corps members believe they could achieve the goal you had set for them. In education, we call this a "teachable moment." You left all of us feeling almost as high as the incredible mountains that surrounded us. Thank you for reinforcing the team concept in our Corps members.
