Dear Ian (and Jerry)-Now
back in UK after a fabulous trip to California. One of the real highlights was my day climbing with Jerry. It was superb. When I set out my requirements to you before leaving for my vacation I didn't believe that they would be satisfied so perfectly. Jerry's choice of route fitted the bill exactly. Long, clean, plenty of variety, just hard enough to be testing and wonderfully exposed. One of the middle pitches would be a match for any in terms of quality. Added to that, Jerry was a great guide and made the day one that I will never forget. He even laid on a day of wall to wall sunshine! All the best and many thanks-Shaun

Ian,Just wanted to tell you that we had an absolutely wonderful day climbing. The experience was better than expected, great location, perfect weather and Joel was the best. He's a natural teacher; patient, extremely upbeat and positive. We all learned a lot in a short period of time - our kids thought he was great. Tell Joel we floated the Merced today, as he recommended, and it was great. The highlights of our week at Yosemite - Rock Climbing and floating the Merced. Thank you! John

Hey Ian, I just wanted to thank you for setting me up with David on July 2. He was a really great guide, very patient, knowledgeable, and extremely informative. Most importantly, I felt very safe with him. Jon and I had a great day and couldn't have asked for more from our very first multi-pitch climb. 2 days later, we did another 6 pitch climb at Cathedral peak in Yosemite, and I felt so much more prepared after having climbed with David at Fresno Dome. Dear Ian, My son Kyle and I had the wonderful experience of rock climbing with Csuri at Fresno Dome. We both couldn't have been happier and I wanted to you to know what a amazing guide you have. The climbs felt both safe and challenging (interesting how that works out) Csuri was encouraging, knowledgeable and quite a joy to be with all day. Her open, warm and friendly demeanor really made the day. And to top things off, when I expressed and interest in the local grove of Sequoias, she ended the day with a walk through that grove and shared her interest in, and knowledge of, the local plant life. Wow, you have a gem of a guide on your staff. We got back to the Mountain House at 7:30pm! The experience well exceeded my expectations. Thank you and Csuri.

I wanted you to know I had a great climb with Albert. Fresno Dome is a spectactular piece of rock and the climbing was the right degree of difficulty for me. And of course the weather was perfect, though I can't really give Albert total credit for that. Thanks

Just wanted to drop you a note and tell you what a great time I had climbing with Jerry Anderson for the last 2 private days. He was very professional, personal, extremely knowledgeable and fun! I''ve lived in the area my whole life and he showed me country I've never seen. Beautiful! We had the greatest campsite with wonderful views of Mt. Ritter and the Silver Divide. He showed me his "secret" fly-fishing stream and I had great success, catching the biggest brown trout I've ever seen come out of the Sierra at 22+ inches and an estimated 4-5 lbs. Most of all the climbing was fun, comfortable, challenging and safe. I can't wait to go again. THANKS FOR A GREAT TRIP!

The day was super. I can say without any doubt that Jerry was the best guide ever to take rock climbing. He was very safety conscious, humorous, very knowledgeable of the areas geology and forestry and best of all he took me through a few routes that were really challenging or me.This is definitely a repeat trip. I just wanted to express my thanks for a great introduction to rock climbing. I have spent years in Mammoth looking for accessible ways to go rock climbing, beyond the wall at the main lodge. The new classes being offered through Southern Yosemite Mountain Guides were perfect. My guide was outstanding. He was instructive, safe, and most importantly, patient as I learned the fundamentals of rock climbing. I've been meaning to write and thank you for a great trip. I was able to get into rock climbing. I was pretty frightened to be trying it, but as it turned out, I felt safe the entire time and really enjoyed the experience. Rock climbing is like a vacation inside a vacation. When I was on the rock, nothing existed but me and the rock--no room for thoughts about girlfriends, jobs, or anything else. Just me and the rock. I really like the all-engrossing aspect of that sport. Plus, my guide was a very good teacher and coach. I feel like he optimized my overall experience on the rock, which I would recommend to anyone who has an inkling to try it. I felt safer on the rock than I have white water rafting or even roller blading. It was cool. Thanks again.

I recently had the pleasure in taking part in a climbing experience with one of your guides. I had a great time. My guide's knowledge of climbing, the routes and his quick study of me allowed me to push myself to my limit, yet at no time did I feel in danger. Just wanted to say thanks and to recommend SYMG to anyone looking to take their trad lead climbing to the next level. Our guide's instruction was awesome and he took things at a pace that fit all three of us in the group. All of us came away with the confidence to start leading trad routes and we learned a bunch of new climbing techniques as well.

I was patiently and skillfully introduced to rock climbing with SYMG. My guide was perfect for me...patiently showing me what I needed to know and indeed could comprehend in a single session...and answering all my inane questions. My guide does SYMG credit and I'm ready for my next vertical adventure, and will hope to be back in Yosemite to try again shortly.

It seems like every time I climb with SYMG, I have the privilege of getting to see the very best side you all have to offer.
