Yosemite's Tuolumne Meadows Hiking Weekend

- About the Trip:
The summer months of July-August-Sept are an excellent time to visit Tuolumne Meadows within Yosemite National Park. We sleep under the stars at a rustic campground, eat hearty meals and day-hike into the spectacular high country of Yosemite during the days. Our professional guides have spent years exploring the high Sierra and look forward to not only teaching you about the natural and human history of this sub-alpine environment, but getting to know you as well.
- Group Size: 2-8 participants with 1 guide. Maximum group size: 13
- Grade: Easy: Hiking or backpacking mostly on trails. Expect modest climbs on uneven terrain and a low level of commitment
- Meals: All meals from dinner on day 1 to lunch on day 3 are included.
- Equipment:All camping gear can be provided (including sleeping bags, tents, and sleeping pads) if requested on your registration form. All you need to bring are your clothes and personal items. You may print from our web page a detailed gear, directions, and this itinerary.
- Cost of the Trip: $525.00 per person
- Your Cost Includes: All camping gear, meals, and guide(s).
- Not Included: Personal gear, transportation, alcoholic beverages, tips for guides (10-20% of trip fee).
- Preparation: The best preparation for this trip is to hike in your local area and take some long walks, preferably on trails or fire roads with elevation gain.
- Itinerary
- Day 1: We will meet at the Tuolumne Meadows Campground by 6 pm. We begin the trip with an orientation and dinner at 6pm. In the evening, we relax and socialize by the campfire.
- Day 2: After breakfast we will choose from the myriad hiking opportunities the wilderness has to offer. Hikes may include the Tuolumne River, Tuolumne or Dana Meadows, alpine lakes or even the summit of a nearby dome. Throughout the day the guides will be sharing their knowledge about the local history, flora and fauna. In the evening we return to the camp where dinner and campfire end the day's activities.
- Day 3: Choosing a new route for the day, we'll continue to explore this high mountain area. We finish around 2pm on Sunday.
