Half Dome Yosemite Day Hike - Directions

Directions to Curry Village            (Custom Google Maps Directions also available)

From the San Francisco International Airport

Exit the airport and take US-101 South towards San Jose. Continue for about 7 miles and merge onto CA-92 East to Hayward, crossing the San Mateo Bridge. Look left for a beautiful view of San Francisco!

Merge onto I-880 North towards Oakland. Proceed 3 miles and merge onto I-238 East to Castro Valley/Stockton. Proceed 3 miles and merge onto I-580 East. Continue for about 45 miles then merge onto I-205 East towards Tracy/Stockton. At the junction of I-205 East and I-5 North, take CA-120 East and follow signs to Manteca.

At Manteca, take CA-99 North and exit immediately to stay on CA-120 East. Continue on CA-120 East to Oakdale (note that CA-120 makes a left-hand turn in the middle of Oakdale). 26 miles beyond Oakdale, turn right at Yosemite Junction and continue on CA-120 East through Groveland.

Continuing on CA-120 East you will enter Yosemite National Park. Once in the Yosemite National Park you want to follow the signs to the Yosemite Valley. At the intersection of CA-120 East and Big Oak Road continue straight (slightly right) onto Big Oak Road. Do not take CA-120 toward Tuolumne Meadows! After about 8.6 miles you'll come to a stop sign. Take a right onto CA-140 East toward the Yosemite Valley and after about a mile you will take a slight right and continue on CA-140 East. After about another mile stay left and CA-140 becomes CA-41/Southside Dr. Don't take the right on CA 41 toward Wawona/Oakhurst. Continue on Southside Drive for about 5 miles and Curry Village will be on your right.

From San Jose, CA

Take I-680 North towards Dublin. Take exit 30 A for I-580 East towards Livermore. Follow the directions above from I -580.

From Fresno, CA

Take CA-41 North towards Oakhurst/Yosemite. In about 40 miles you will reach the town of Oakhurst, CA. Continue on CA-41 North and in about 15 miles you will enter the Yosemite National Park. After passing through the entrance gate take a left and continue on CA-41 though Wawona towards the Yosemite Valley. After about 26 mile you will drop into the Yosemite Valley and merge with Southside Drive. Continue on Southside Drive for about 5 miles and Curry Village will be on your right.

From Los Angeles, CA

Take I-5 north for about 66 miles. Take the exit for CA-99 North towards Bakersfield. Take CA-99 for about 132 miles. You will drive though Bakersfield on CA-99 towards Fresno. In Fresno take the exit for CA-41 towards Oakhurst/Yosemite. Once on CA-41 follow the directions from Fresno.
