I thoroughly enjoyed the entire outing, and I truly appreciate your planning, preparation, and execution. After 4 years of using SYMG, and 4 excellent outings, there is only one guide we insisted on having again, and it was you (unanimously). Thank you for your patience, guidance, knowledge, and humor for year number 5. Although we only do this once each year, we all look forward to another adventure led by you.

Ian, I want to thank you for the great experience I and my family had. Gregg A and Gregg M were fantastic with the kids. They each brought great experiences, expertise and personalities to the trip. Gregg M with his one minute mysteries, story telling and his calm demeanor, Gregg A with his being a kid with the kids and making simple adventures for the kids very fun and enjoyable. With 7 young kids on a trip Gregg M and A were very organized and the food worked out well. Both of them made the hikes seem effortless. I can tell you it is very hard for a parent to make a hike seem effortless to kids. They took us to places and stops that made the hikes great for the adults but fascinating for the kids. The one hike up the steep hill was an event my middle daughter Kelsey will always remember. What kid gets to slide down a hill of snow in July and jump into a lake that is 51 degrees, hours later slide down a waterfall in a rubber raft then put on a theatric production? Gregg M and A created that environment.

Now that we've completed our trip, I have some thoughts I would like to share. Joel is a keeper. He is just a terrific guy. He managed to take (5) aging guys of differing backgrounds and fitness levels on a 4.5 day journey that included challenging hikes, interesting side trips and "character building" experiences. I purposely did not go to your website photos before our tour because I wanted to be surprised by what was in store. I am extremely pleased that Joel took us to locations that were a definitive sampling of those very photos. Now I can escape the mental drain of the work day by clicking on your website. Because we had one guy leave early, Colby came in to hike him out. Upon his arrival and in his own words "the ice man cometh". Above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks and I hope to enjoy the SYMG experience again.

Thanks for planning a great trip for us Ian. Tenaya and Colby were absolutely fabulous. We really had a lot of fun with them. Their knowledge of the surrounding area and outdoors in general was impressive. Their food was delicious -really had everything down like pros! We also really enjoyed listening and singing with Colby's guitar- he's talented. And, yes the scenery was magestic - A very memorable trip. Thanks, Jane Tournat

This morning I went to the farmer's market. While I enjoyed it as always, I realized I wasn't desperate for fruits and vegies as I usually am on returning from the back country - that's a tribute to your wonderful meal planning and cooking! Thanks again for all the things that went in to making the trip such a success - from the technical aspects and logistics to most of all creating the structures that enabled all of us, regardless of age, experience, or personality, to grow and learn together in the wilderness. I'm sad to have it end so quickly, but glad to have so many images and memories to sustain me through the year.

I had a wonderful time this past week on the Ansel Adams Hiking trip. I felt so relaxed sitting by the lakes and taking in the beauty of this area. Kandi was a great guide. It was hard to come home, but I am looking forward to going on more trips with SYMG. Thank you for starting this business. It made my first trip back to Yosemite a memorable one, and it was one of the best vacations of my life.
