Corporate Events - Sample Itinerary

  • About the Trip: During the months of July, August and September, SYMG offers corporate groups single and multi-day programs in the pristine high country of Sierra National Forest, Yosemite National Park, and the Ansel Adams Wilderness. One of our most popular itineraries is a weekend program which can include hiking, rock climbing, and fly fishing. We camp at a rustic campground with hearty breakfasts & dinners , while we hike, climb, or fly fish in the spectacular high country during the days. Lunches are provided during the activities. In the evenings, campfire, meeting time, and socializing round out the day. Our professional guides have spent years working in the high Sierra and look forward to not only teaching skills and activities, but working with your group to maximize the time spent.
  • Group Size: There will be at least one guide per 10 participants. Maximum group size: 50-80
  • Grade: Leisurely-moderate hiking , rock climbing and fly fishing in a high country, camp environment.
  • Equipment: All camping gear can be provided including sleeping bags, tents, and sleeping pads if requested on your registration form. We also provide all equipment for activities.   • Average Per Person Cost of the Trip: $350-$400 per person
  • Your Cost Includes: All camping & activity gear, guides, campsites & permits, meals.
  • Not Included: Personal gear, alcoholic beverages, tips for guides (10-20% of trip fee).
  • Meals: All meals from dinner on day 1 to lunch on day 3 are included.
  • Preparation: The best preparation for this trip is to hike in your local area or take some long walks, preferably on trails or fire roads with elevation gain. For rock climbing, a trip to the local climbing gym is excellent preparation.
  • Day 1: We will meet at the Bowler Campground between 4 & 6 pm. Dinner is served at 6pm. We begin the trip with orientation, dinner & campfire.
  • Day 2: After breakfast we will choose from the myriad hiking, fly fishing, or rock climbing opportunities the wilderness has to offer. Throughout the day the guides will be sharing their knowledge about the history, flora and fauna as well as the unique high Sierra ecosystem. In the evening we return to the camp where dinner and campfire end the day's activities.
  • Day 3: Choosing new activities for the day, we'll hike deep into the Wilderness, climb dramatic rock formations or fly fish beautiful alpine lakes as high as 9,000' in elevation. We finish around 2pm on Sunday.
