Backpacking - Trans-Sierra Trail to Mt. Whitney - Directions

Directions to the Piccadilly lnn Fresno Airport

SF Bay Area North (San Francisco)

Take 580 east, which becomes 5 South just past Altamont Pass. Take I-5 for 10 miles south to 132 east to Modesto. In Modesto, take 99 south to Fresno. *Once in Fresno, take 180 East to 41 North. Take 1st exit off 41 North: McKinley. Go left off the off-ramp travel approximately 3 miles. The Inn is on your right.

SF Bay Area South (San Jose)

Take 101 south to 152 east (Pacheco Pass). Drive east through Los Banos on 152 to 99 South. 99 South to Fresno. *Follow above directions to hotel.

Los Angeles Area

Take I-5 north to 99 north to Fresno. Once in Fresno take 41 North and follow above directions.*

Flying

There is a free shuttle to and from the airport and the hotel, you may need to call the hotel from the baggage claim area to let them know you have arrived.

The telephone for the Picadilly Inn Hotel is 1-800-HOTEL-US . Check in under your name, the front desk has a rooming list. Check in time is 3:00 pm.

Information

On day 1, you will be meeting your guide in the Hotel lobby at 6:30 pm . If you need to arrive later than this, please call our office to let us know your arrival time.

On day 10 it is important for you to know that flights out of the Fresno airport should not be booked earlier than 7:00 pm.
