The whole
trip was everything I could have wished for. Booking a trip from the internet with a company of which I had no knowledge incurred some risk but your organization worked perfectly. Your information sheet and responses to my questions had me well prepared for the hike. Your staff are great ambassadors for SYMG, demonstrating a commitment and enthusiasm for their jobs and lifestyle. Csuri was the dream guide and her efforts ensured that we all had a successful and enjoyable trip. To hike the JMT had been a dream of mine since my first visit to Yosemite in 1970. Thanks to SYMG the dream came true and it was better than I could have imagined. Special thanks to Csuri – for a great job well done, Albert – especially for the food and drinks. Hi! I had the BEST time on my JMT trip!!!! Csuri was the most awesome guide!! I cannot express how fortunate I felt to have her as our group guide. Csuri was knowledgeable, compassionate, funny, and I always felt safe with her should anything happen. My JMT trip was a wonderful accomplishment for me. Ian, all the guides you employ that I met, were top notch. Albert was so kind and seeing him with the deli spread after 22 days in the Mts. was just awesome! Sam, Joel, Katie who supplied our food drops were incredible. They were all accommodating, nice, mellow. I will never forget these people. All of them, some of the finest people I ever met. You run a wonderful,stupendous organization. I am still on a high from the trip. All my friends tell me how great I look. The JMT challenged me just the way I wanted it to...mentally, physically. Csuri is someone I consider a friend. Csuri took care of my blisters, my bang toe, let me "be" when I lost it on Donahue pass. And celebrated with me when I summited Mt. Whitney.
Everything about the trip ran smoothly, and Csuri was a role model for me. Csuri's unique,caring personality made this a summer I'll never forget. What a strong woman she is. Ian, again, thank you for making my dream come true. Without hesitation I would consider another trip with you all. I'd be honored.

I want to say that I thought Colby did as superb job a working with quite different clients as a guide could do. I very much enjoyed hiking with him and encourage you to continue using him and a SYMG guide. Not only is knowledgeable, but he is gifted at working with people.

Thanks again for this event--it was without a doubt my best vacation ever. And of course thanks to our guide. The details; the weather was almost entirely rain free, the trail conditions allowed us to follow the itinerary without deviation, all the food drops worked out exactly as planned, no one had feet or endurance problems, we lost no supplies to bears or rodents. Details specific to our guide; his advance planning and preparation were faultless, his recipe design and cooking were excellent, his practical skills were brilliant, his daily leadership, example and encouragement were inspiring but unobtrusive, his humor and friendship were great. I knew I could trust him completely and felt safe at all times.
